Ovi-Catch AGO Mosquito

Ovi-Catch is based on technology that has been developed and tested in the research of the Puerto Rico Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Due to this fact, the trap has extremely high efficiency and will remove mosquitoes without problems from the area where it is used. Ovi Catch is the trade name for "Autocidal Gravid Ovitrap" which is a trap that was designed to use mosquito breeding techniques against them. Thus, mosquitoes are lured inside the trap to lay their eggs but are caught there.

Some of the most invasive species of mosquitoes are known to prefer to multiply in containers. This means they look for containers to lay eggs. Ovi-Catch uses this natural instinct to catch them on the glue boards inside it. They not only manage mosquito populations but also allow species monitoring for optimal treatments. Each captured female mosquito prevents the appearance of up to 1000 mosquitoes in the future.

Characteristics:

Each hut contains:
-19-liter container;
-Capture chamber;
-Glue plate;

Since female mosquitoes look for cold, shady, windy, and humid areas, the trap should be positioned in the following areas, ideally:
-Around the vegetation;
-Protected areas, such as covered terraces,
-The corners of the property;
-Anywhere near stagnant water.

Way of usage:
-Fill the 19-liter container with 10 liters of water until it reaches just below the drain;
-Add about a handful of organic matter, preferably hay, to the water;
-Put the lid on the 19-liter container;
-Place the sieve on the bottom of the capture chamber;
-Separate the plate from the glue pair. Install the glue plate inside the capture chamber, with the sticky side facing inwards;
-Thread the camera cover;
-Position the capture chamber with the screw cap on top by securing it.
-Place the trap in cold, shady, windy, and humid areas. For maximum effect, place several traps in various areas.
