BG-GAT, set of 2

BG-GAT targets mosquitoes that have already bitten and are now looking for a place to lay their eggs. These female mosquitoes are only a small percentage of those looking for a host. Therefore, BG-GAT naturally catches fewer mosquitoes, but these targeted females can be dangerous because they can produce between 50-100 offspring in addition to the very high chance of carrying a virus. In this way, the traps help stop the next generation of mosquitoes.

BG-GAT uses water and oviposition clues to attract these mosquitoes. Once in the capture chamber, the mosquitoes try to escape through the translucent windows, where they are caught when they come in contact with the surface of the sticky card. The net provides a barrier between mosquitoes and water infused from the lower chamber. The sticky card in the transparent chamber kills mosquitoes.

The great advantage of this trap is that it is passive, which means that it does not require extra power or attractants, such as CO2 or other chemicals. This offers great flexibility in implementation and ease of management.
