Decis Trap + Attractant

The Decis Trap is an effective concept based on the control of cherry flies based on the use of feeding attractants in order to protect crops and allow their development in ideal conditions. This product is approved in Romania for combating cherry fly (Rhagoletis cerasi).

This "ready to use" trap consists of 2 components:
-the upper part - colorless, transparent, impregnated with the substance that causes pest mortality
-the lower part - yellow or orange, serves to attract (due to color) and store pests, contains specific attractant for the species Rhagoletis cerasi

The assembled trap is a closed device that is provided with several holes in its side (2, 3 or 4 cm each) through which the pests are attracted. This is assembled prior to delivery and the attractor is also activated.

The recommended quantity per hectare is 100 traps, but it can be adapted depending on the density, the characteristics of the variety and other aspects of this kind, respecting a minimum of 60 traps per hectare. The distribution must be made as even as possible. The traps are placed in the orchard, manually, in the crown of the trees. For maximum effectiveness, they should be positioned approximately halfway up the crown of the shafts. For taller specimens, positioning at least 1.8 meters high is recommended. The ideal time to place is immediately after the cherries bloom. The limit time is when the cherries begin to change color from green to yellow.

There is no break time before harvest.
