Product information

Tervigo is a new nematode control product based on abamectin. Tervigo is a product with non-mathematical contact action, fast and lasting action. The nematocide is approved for use in protected areas for crops of tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cucurbits, and beans.

The chemical family of avermectins, to which abamectin belongs, includes some active substances with excellent efficacy against nematodes, which, due to their effectiveness at low doses, are widely used in the pharmaceutical and veterinary industries.

The exclusive formulation of the nematode control product, Tervigo, includes iron chelate, which helps to keep the active substance in the soil, allowing it to exert its strong action against these pests.

Characteristics:
The product is a fine, homogeneous, mobile suspension, with a tendency to deposit over time, but with a good ability to return in a homogeneous system, red to black, without particular odor.

Mode of action:
-The substance Abamectin acts as a GABA agonist (Gamma Amino Buric Acid) which stimulates the release of GABA from presynaptic inhibitory membranes at the nerve endings and which potentiates the binding of GABA to specific receptors in arthropod muscle cells.
-After GABA binds to specific receptors, there is an increased flow of chlorine ions into the cell, which essentially blocks nerve signals. In soil, Abamectin has mainly contact action.

Recommendations for use:
Tervigo is applied by drip irrigation (fertigation) to crops in greenhouses and solariums. Tervigo nematocide is applied preventively immediately after planting (within a maximum of 5 days after planting), with the treatment being repeated every 10-14 days depending on the infestation pressure, but without exceeding the number of treatments for each culture:
-maximum 4 treatments - peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, zucchini, beans, melons, melons, and pumpkin
-maximum 6 treatments - tomatoes

Tervigo is localized and acts around the roots before nematodes cause damage.
Crops treated with Tervigo can be harvested on the day of application of the product (break time of 0 days until harvest), with a residual profile that is always in accordance with the requirements of the food chain.

Quality requirements that an irrigation system must meet in order to be used in irrigation:
-a drip line at each row and with nozzles at each plant;
-drip lines should be placed close to the plants;
-uniformity in watering (uniform irrigation flows of the nozzles);
-high efficiency in water use (water is taken by the plant compared to water applied for irrigation);
-optimized irrigation schedule (intervals and duration of irrigation cycles).

Required water volume: 10,000 - 20,000 liters of water / ha (1 - 2 liters / m2 or 1000 - 2000 liters / 1000 m2)

Management of prevention of the appearance of resistant forms:
-There are no known cases of cross-resistance with substances from other chemical classes.
-Due to its unique mode of action, Tervigo is an ideal product for managing the appearance of resistant forms.
-Follow the existing guidelines on the management of resistance to the treated culture.

Culture tolerance:
Applied according to the recommendations, Tervigo nematocide is well tolerated by the cultures in which it is approved.

Integrated combat:
Tervigo can be used in integrated pest control programs. Because it is applied to the ground, useful insects (bees, bumblebees, natural predators) are not affected during and after the application of the product.

Compatibility:
Tervigo is compatible with many common plant protection products and fertilizers, which are applied to the soil. For proper use of the product, before mixing Tervigo with any other plant protection product or fertilizer, you should consult the compatibility tables and perform a test on that crop.
