K-Othrine WG 250, 20 g

K-othrine WG250 is a water-dispersible granule containing deltamethrin giving a fine suspension in water with broadspectrum sustained residual insecticidal activity on surfaces. Provides an insecticidal surface spray for use in public hygiene, food storage, manufacture, and preparation for crawling and flying insect control. The granules disperse within one minute to yield a suspension equivalent to those derived from suspension concentrates. The water-dispersible granule K-OTHRINE® WG 250 is non-staining, non-tainting, virtually odorless, and biodegradable. The sachet pack and granule presentation offer the opportunity for accurate measurement with minimal operator exposure.

For the control of:
-Crawling Insects including black ants, bed-bugs, fleas, earwigs, carpet beetles, cockroaches, and booklice. It will also control spiders and woodlice.
-Flying insects when at rest including flies and mosquitoes.

For Use in:
-Domestic Situations: Private housing Public Buildings: Continuously occupied areas (as a band/spot or crack and crevice treatment only), hospitals, hotels, public baths, municipal buildings, churches, halls, community centers, cinemas, etc.
-Food Handling: Processing: food manufacture, kitchens, slaughterhouses, etc.
-Storage: food retailers, warehouses, etc.
-Preparation: restaurants, commercial kitchens, etc.

K-Othrine WG 250 is certified following Aerospace Materials Specification 1450A for uses in aircraft.

Spraying Equipment: Apply with any suitable hand or mechanical sprayer capable of producing a coarse spray. Directions Dilute with water only. Prepare a fresh suspension as required. Do not store prepared suspension. Carefully tear open the sachet and pour the granules into the spray tank. Fill the sprayer to the appropriate level with water and agitate. The granules will be fully dispersed within one minute.

The spray should be applied evenly to all infested surfaces - floors, walls, dunnage, etc. Ensure that all cracks and crevices where insects might find cover are adequately treated.

K-Othrine® WG 250 may be applied to walls and structural surfaces of rooms and buildings used for the storage of processed foodstuffs. Pallets and dunnage, providing processed foodstuffs subsequently stored are protected from treated surfaces. In domestic premises, hotels, etc K-Othrine® WG 250 may be sprayed onto carpets, wallpaper, furniture and bed frames, and mattresses (but not clothing, sheets or pillowcases).

Rates of Application:

The subsequent residual life of K-othrine WG250 depends on the: species to be controlled, type of surface sprayed, physical and chemical conditions to which the deposit is exposed.

Recommended dose: 10 g / 10 L, for 200 m².

K-othrine WG250 is either packed in 20 g sachets which offer ease of use and accuracy of measurement. For residual control of insects, K-othrine WG250 should be diluted with water and applied with any suitable compression sprayer producing coarse droplets. The spray should be applied, typically, at a rate of 4 liters / 100 mp or to a point of run-off. On very absorbent surfaces run-off may not be attained and these surfaces should be thoroughly wetted.

Instructions for application:
-Flying insects (flies, mosquitoes):
-Being a contact insecticide, for an effective and rapid treatment, it is recommended to apply the solution to all surfaces where flying insects can rest.
-Indoor: the ceilings, the walls (preferably from a height of 0.5 m upwards), the access areas for pests (the edges of the doors, windows), the immediate vicinity of the lighting sources, the hidden areas, floor (only for massive infestations).
-Outdoor, insist on access paths for pests, on the immediate vicinity of lighting sources, and on vegetation within a minimum radius of 10m around the access ways (the product is not phytotoxic).

-To control bed bugs:
-Treat carefully the entire available area of the room (except ceilings), insisting on the textile surfaces (sofas, chairs, armchairs, blankets, mattresses, carpets) including the solid material area (wood, plastic, etc.) used as a support for these textiles, furniture, flooring, joining areas (plinths, cable trays), all areas difficult to reach (corners, joints of furniture, interior of cabinets, drainage areas).
-Treatments should be done with sufficient solution to penetrate the finest cracks of the support on which they are applied (concrete, wood, etc.) and stay there for a few minutes. It is very important to identify and treat the areas with the greatest potential in hosting the nests. The treatment must be repeated after 10-14 days, in this time the eggs left behind will hatch.

-To fight cockroaches:
-Indoor: floors, walls (preferably from a height of 1 meter) will be treated, hardly accessible, wet, warm, and dark areas where the cockroaches are most likely to form nests, (drainage, behind household appliances, food storage areas, areas where - temporarily - garbage is kept).
-It is very important to identify and treat areas with the greatest potential in hosting cockroaches nests; They can be tracked for traces of manure, egg, larvae, or concentrations greater than 5-10 adult individuals at one point.

K-Othrine WG 250 has a retention of 10 to 12 weeks, depending on the type of surface to be applied and how clean the surface is.
