Recommendations:
- Keep away from children and pets;
- Locate active tunnels by probing the ground near surface burrows with a stick or a special probe. If the dirt easily gives way, that means you have a tunnel. Check the hole in 2 days, if it has been patched up, it means the animal is active in that tunnel;
- Level the ground around the probed area, and push the trap down until it reaches the top of the tunnel. Remove the safety only after making sure the trap is placed correctly. The trigger pan should be right on top of the burrow and the spikes can be moved around to ensure there are no obstructions around them;
- Check the trap in a few days and dispose of the caught animal. If the trap has not been sprung, it means the tunnel is no longer used by the animal or that the trap was placed incorrectly.
