Product information

Talpirid Mole Worm is a professional product built to fight against moles. Suitable for both amateur and professional use, this is an efficient bait created and tested to imitate a mole’s natural food source. Talpirid Mole Worm takes effect at the very first contact but two or more days are necessary for the moles to die. Thanks to the active ingredient, Bromethalin, it acts by damaging the central nervous system which causes paralysis, convulsions and death. Since the presence of moles may be indicated by a network of subsurface runways in the turf or a series of conical mounds of earth pushed up from deep burrows you should follow these clues when applying the bait.

Features:
- Suitable for moles only;
- Color: Amber Worms;
- Rain and humidity can damage the bait faster than normal conditions;
- Individually sealed in a bag;
- Effective in a few days;
- A single contact is needed for the effect to take place;
- It contains special enhancers that attract moles.

This product can be used in:
- Lawns, parks, around homes, golf courses, ornamental gardens, nurseries and other non-crop grassy areas;
- Apply in either main underground runways or in subsurface feeding tunnels;
- This product should not be used above ground.

How to use:
- Use disposable rubber or Nitrile gloves when handling the bait;
- Inspect areas where moles could hide and place worm shaped bait;
- For subsurface runaways apply only in areas used habitually by moles for feeding;
- To establish initial mole activity use your finger to puncture a hole in the top of subsurface runways without crushing them;
- Mark opened runways and check them again in maximum 72 hours;
- The bait should be placed where holes are resealed in maximum 72 hours;
- For active runaways make a hole in the top of the runway and drop one worm into the runway, using one rod to push any exposed bait completely into the runway;
- Reseal carefully the runway with a small amount of dirt to exclude light;
- Repeat bait application every 5 to 10 feet of each active subsurface runway;
- Keep in mind that moles construct deeper tunnels (marked by a series of conical mounds (piles of dirt) 4 to 12 inches high) that are invisible from the surface;
- Use a broom handle as a probe to push into the soil between mounds and to locate deep tunnels;
- The resistance on the probe will decrease rapidly when the probe enters a tunnel which you must mark and revisit in maximum 72 hours;
- Replace runways with holes resealed within 72 hours;
- For main underground tunnels and conical mounds drop one Talpirid worm through the probe hole;
- Use the probe to push the bait completely into the tunnel and cover the hole with a piece of turf, a small rock or a piece of newspaper to allow for visual inspection;
- Repeat bait application as instructed on the label;
- Check within 48 to 72 hours later and withdraw all active tunnel systems.
