Product information

The Cydia pomonella Pheromone Lures are an effective and efficient way of controlling the codling moth population in orchards, gardens, and other areas where this insect can be problematic. The lures are designed to attract the male codling moths, as they are the ones responsible for laying eggs in fruit and vegetable crops. The lures are easy to use and can be used in conjunction with other control methods to provide the most effective results.

Benefits:
- Helps detect early signs of Cydia pomonella;
- Enhanced catch rates;
- Selective lure with long lasting effects.

Action mode:
Use the pheromone lures together with traps designed for moths or general insect traps.
The Delta trap is the optimal device to monitor this insect, but the Moth catcher trap can be utilised if there is a lot of dust or a large number of moths.

Methods of application:
For small-scale orchards, set traps in a grid pattern with a rate of one trap for every five hectares.
For larger holdings, place 10 traps every two to four hectares.
Position each trap at a height of 2.5 m, and make sure that the trap entrances are not blocked by any foliage or fruit.

Compatibility:
Compatible with Russel IPM traps.

Recommendations:
It is important to not reuse the trap for different insects, as that may lead to mixed catches.
Change lures every 4-6 weeks for best results.
Gather data weekly starting at the beginning of the overwintering generation's flight.
When the population is at its peak, more frequent readings may be needed.
Take into account climatic and biological factors when considering methods of action against invading insects.
Once the population reaches its peak, readings may need to be taken more frequently.
Store lures in a freezer at around -20ËšC(sealed pack). This ensures a long period of storage of up to several years.
Storing lures at 4ËšC will allow them to remain active for a maximum of 1 year.
Wear gloves when handling the pheromones, to avoid cross-contamination.

Please be sure to read, understand, and follow the full Conditions, Disclaimer, and Directions for Use. Use the appropriate personal safety equipment if required and when needed.
