SAFRAN is an insect-acaricide formulated on the basis of abamectin, intended for treatments in vegetable growing, fruit growing, and viticulture.
SAFRAN 1.8 EC has a unique mode of action, different from conventional insect acaricides. Abamectin acts on the nervous system of insects causing, in a few hours, irreversible paralysis. Insects that come in contact with the product die without any movement or spasm. It acts both by contact and especially by ingestion, and the maximum insecticidal activity is observed starting from the third day after application.
