Product information

BactoSpeine DF is a biological insecticide (natural microorganisms) in the form of water-dispersible granules. It is recommended to use this product for the control of Lepidoptera pests (caterpillars, moths, butterflies), vegetable crops and ornamental plants in the field or protected areas (solariums, greenhouses) and fruit trees.

Mode of action:
BactoSpeine DF acts on larvae, target pests as soon as they consume the treated plants. The intestinal walls begin to degrade, the larvae can not feed and die within 24 to 72 hours. The efficacy of BactoSpeine DF in controlling young Lepidoptera larvae is similar to that of conventional insecticides, administered as recommended by specialists.

Application mode:
-
BactoSpeine DF is applied when the first larvae are observed, preferably during active feeding periods. Treatments are repeated at intervals of 7 to 10 days. A maximum of 8 treatments per culture per season are used, using a minimum product concentration of 100 grams per 100 liters of water. Increased doses are required when the attack pressure is high or when larval populations are mixed with individuals in advanced stages of development.
-For good protection, the application period is reduced to 7 days, given the rapid growth of crops. BactoSpeine DF acts on the surface of the plant. The product is not given on plants when the foliage is wet. It is not recommended to perform treatments when rain is expected in less than 6 hours.
-BactoSpeine DF has no known impact on the development of natural predator populations and beneficial insects in integrated pest management programs.
-BactoSpeine DF is biodegradable. Under the correct application and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, immediately after preparation, the pH of the solution will be between 6 and 8.
