Harmonix Red Mite, 5 litres

Harmonix Red Mite is a liquid insecticide, formulated as a soluble concentrate, water-soluble solution (SL), used to control the poultry red mite (Dermanyssus gallinae) of domestic birds.

Harmonix Red Mite does not contain toxic ingredients and has physical action, therefore is exempt from biocides product registration and does not need certification for application or vet prescription.

Mode of action:
-Harmonix Red Mite is a cellulose-derived polymer formulated as a specific solvent, capable of penetrating dusty layers commonly found within hen houses. It can easily spread deep into cracks and crevices in order to combat mites.
-It can be used both in the food industry segment and in activities where accidental contact with food or food can occur.
-Immediately after application, the soluble insecticide will evaporate, and the polymer will form a concentrated cross-linked film which will cause insect movement to cease.
-The cellulose polymer acts as a sticky liquid micro-trap, forming a film that will immobilize all insects, and as a result, they will die.

Effective in difficult situations:
Harmonix Red Mite offers outstanding results, thanks to its ability to penetrate deep into dusty surfaces and cope with areas heavily contaminated with organic matter or waste.

Application:
-It can be successfully applied during and after any stage of the domestic bird breeding cycle, before repopulation, during and after each reproduction cycle or interior cleaning and whenever signs of reinfestation may occur.
-The treatment is guided within the growing and breeding enclosures. The insecticide formulation allows the application onto different types of surfaces: porous, highly absorbant, dusty or rich in organic matter surfaces , such as bird litter.
-Harmonix Red Mite provides a quick knockdown effect along with a secondary effect of immobilizing other small, flying and crawling insects. This is a solution to combat cross-resistance to chemical insecticides.
-Enclosures disinfection treatments can be made with Harmonix Red Mite alone or alternatively, with other conventional chemical insecticides. Harmonix Red Mite has a short-term residual effect, which offers an advantage to the egg producers because the risk of product contamination with chemicals is highly diminished.

Instructions for use:

- Harmonix Red Mite can be applied in poultry houses and broilers with birds present, without the need to cause stress to birds by moving them. Treatment can also be applied to laying facilities, transport equipment used to transfer pullet birds, and other areas that may represent a high risk of infestation.

- Make sure to remove all eggs before spraying. Mites can easily hide in debris, away from direct exposure. In order to improve spray contact with mites, you can remove belt covers, shrouds, and debris.

- The application is made with low-pressure sprayers, which can produce a directional coarse spray. Shake or re-agitate the sprayer before use if spraying is interrupted. 

- Pay significant attention to all cracks, crevices, corners, and other narrow spaces where insects may hide. Apply spray until the surfaces are completely moistened. For highly absorbent surfaces it will be necessary to apply a higher dose.

- Treatment with Harmonix Red Mite can be repeated after 7 - 10 days after the first application or at the first signs of reinfestation.

- Do not spray directly onto hens.
