Alverde is a new, modern insecticide with high efficacy against larvae and adults of the Colorado potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata). It also fights other harmful insects from the groups Coleoptera (beetles), Lepidoptera (butterflies, caterpillars), etc.
Alverde acts on the nervous system of insects, uniquely: it blocks the sodium channel in the nervous system in a closed position:
-inverse than the pyrethroid insecticides that open this channel.
-without cross-resistance with known groups of insecticides.
-these nerve impulses are inhibited, initially causing a "relaxing" paralysis of the insects, followed, after a few hours to a few days by their death. The "relaxing" paralysis means the cessation of feeding and lack of movement / limited movement of insects = stops fast feeding before causing the death of harmful insects. In this way, crop losses that could be caused by these pests are prevented.
- acts as a feeding agent (by ingestion) with a certain initial contact activity.
-moderate translaminar activity. About half of the product is retained in the epicutaneous / cuticular layer of the leaves.
How to use: To control the Colorado potato beetle, the time of application is at the beginning of the infestation, after the larvae have hatched, to avoid damage, although Alverde fights all mobile stages of the pest, including adults. Under normal infestation conditions, the product can completely control the installed population (generation) of pests through a single treatment. Under certain conditions of severe and continuous attack pressure, a second application may be required to maintain complete control. To control the caterpillar, the treatment will be applied to the hatching of the first larvae.
