Product information

Mavrik 2 F contains the active substance Tau-fluvalinate, obtained from an amino acid called valine found in milk casein. Tau-fluvalinate is a unique synthesis pyrethroid, because unlike all other pyrethroids, it acts differently on the nervous system of the target pests. Thus, Tau-fluvalinate maintains open sodium channels from the nerve endings and thus affects the cellular membrane depolarization process, causing serious metabolic disturbances, disordered hyperactivity and eventually death of the pests.

This active substance is characterized by greater photo- and thermo-stability, increased lipid solubility (faster penetration of the insect's cuticle) and a more specific fighting spectrum, the main targets being sucking insects (aphids, ticks and leaf fleas ), but also some insects with a red device (coleopterum and lepidoptera).

Also, due to its insolubilization in water, Mavrik 2 F is very resistant to washing by rain.

Mode of action and use:
It can be applied at higher temperatures than with most pyrethroids, without reducing the effect of control. Also, Mavrik 2 F is more stable and has a long period of action, also having an effect of protecting the useful entomophane and especially pollinating insects (bees, bumble bees), which is totally harmless.

The target organisms act by both contact and ingestion, with a long-lasting residual effect and a very obvious knock-down effect (as a result of faster penetration through the cuticle).

Grain cereals (wheat, barley) - Treatment with Mavrik 2 F is done at the warning when the economic damage threshold has been reached. Of particular importance is the autumn treatment, when leaf drops can cause significant damage to barely-grown crops. Also very important is the treatment from the final stages of the cultures, when aphids can attack the spice. Normal volume volumes are used.

Rape - Treatment can be done at the alert, including during blossoming, without affecting bee populations. The long-term persistence of the product on the treated parts of the plant usually ensures the protection of the crops until harvesting. If necessary, prior to harvesting, it is also possible to treat the gray coat that forms colonies at the top of the rapeseed plants, reducing production and aggravating harvesting.

Potato - It is used only to control larvae and adults of Colorado beetle, but also of viper transmitting aphids on which it has a rapid shock action. It is recommended to use it in a treatment program after treatment with a chitin inhibitor such as Rimon 10 EC or even with it.

Mavrik 2 F plants are used both for blooming and immediately after flowering, for the control of aphids, to the appearance of the first colonies on the peaks. The treatment can also be done during the summer to fight lice with particular emphasis on the wounds on the branches where it forms dense colonies. The volume of the solution is 1500 liters per hectare, so as to ensure full coverage of the trees.

Ornamentals - It is used both in the field and in the greenhouse when the first pest occurs, using a volume of 1000 liters of water per hectare.

Vegetables (onion, cucumber, cabbage) - It is applied to the first symptoms of attack, using normal volumes of solution (1000 l / ha). Cucumbers can also be used successfully in protected areas (solariums, greenhouses), where they effectively fight white musk.
