Dimilin 48 SC, 1 litre is a product with insecticidal and ovicidal action with a unique mode of action that will help you control unwanted insect populations that could potentially ruin or damage your crops, trees, and mushroom cultures.
Benefits:
- Contains a powerful active substance;
- Terrestrial and aerial application;
- Efficient against insecticidal resistant species;
- Non-toxic for humans, the environment, and beneficial insects;
- Wide range of applications.
Action mode of Dimilin 48 SC:
During insect feeding, the diflubenzuron from the treated plants comes into the body of the insect, and through the metabolism, it reaches the embryo of newly formed eggs, which prevents their development, and thus the absence of a new generation. It is characterized by persistence. Relatively selective for beneficial organisms.
- Once sprayed, the active substance is absorbed into leaves and other green parts of the plant, which insect pests will later consume;
- Inhibits chitin synthesis, stopping the moulting process during the insect evolution cycle;
- Affects larvae of insects, that will become unable to shed their old cuticle and will soon be eliminated;
- Affects laid eggs, stopping insect larvae from hatching and propagating the population.
Methods of application:
- Apply using ULV technology or hand/motor sprayer;
Pear orchards:
- to control honey fleas, the application must be made immediately after flowering, during the laying of eggs. Repeat after 3-4 weeks and use Dimilin 48 SC mixed with a non-phytotoxic (edible) oil at a dose of 0.3%. For 100 l of water, 30 gr of Dimilin and 300 ml of oil will be used.
Apple and plum orchards:
- to control the apple and plum worm, sprays are applied during the flight of moths, when laying eggs, at the beginning of the flowering of the trees. The treatment is repeated after 3 weeks for the first generation or 4 weeks for the following generations. The recommended dose is 0.03%, i.e. for 100 l of water 30-40 gr of Dimilin is used.
Mining larvae:
- the control is based on the oocyte action of Dimilin, which must be applied to the laying of eggs. The recommended dose is 0.03%.
Vegetable growing:
- spraying is carried out before the hatching of the eggs of the cabbage and the white butterfly of the cabbage, in a concentration of 0.05%.
Edible mushrooms:
- Apply by bathing immediately after coating in a dose of 4 gr in 2.5 l water/sqm. For incorporation in compost, Dimilin is applied in a dose of 40 gr in solution at 1 m³.
Green spaces and forestry:
- to control the hairy caterpillar of the mulberry Dimilin must be applied before or during the hatching of the eggs, at the latest at the first age of the young larvae, after the appearance of the leaves. The ornamental chestnut for combating the miner is applied to the laying of the egg. The recommended dose of Dimilin is 100-300 gr/ha in 800-1000 l solution.
Compatibility:
Dimilin is compatible with most insecticides and adjuvants found on the market.
Consult compatibility labels before applying it together with other pest control products.
Recommendations:
Dimilin 48 SC has more potent effects against young specimens of larvae and, as such, should be applied during the earlier stages of development.
Avoid air application near a water source and it is preferable that beehives be closed during application of the Dimilin SC-48.
It is recommended to use Dimilin 48 SC mixed with a non-phytotoxic (edible) oil at a dose of 0.3%.
For leaf miner larvae, the control is based on the ovicidal action of Dimilin and must be applied during the laying of eggs. The recommended dose is 0.03%, 30 to 40 g of Dimilin with 100 l of water.
In vegetable crops, treatments are carried out before the hatching of the eggs. The recommended dose 0.05%, 50 to 60 g of Dimilin with 100 l of water.
For mushrooms, it is applied by bathing immediately after coating in a dose of 4 gr in 2.5 l of water per sqm. For incorporation in compost, Dimilin is applied in a dose of 40 g in solution for each 1 m³.
In green spaces and forestry - to control hairy caterpillars, Dimilin must be applied before or during the hatching of the eggs, after the appearance of the leaves. The recommended dose is 100 to 300 g of Dimilin with 800 to 1000 l of water per ha.
